Whether you are a new Veteran or have been out of the military for years, Unbroken Spirit is a valuable resource and support network. Members often form close bonds and develop lifelong friendships. They can also provide a sense of purpose and fulfillment by giving back to their communities through volunteer work or other outreach activities. We provide a supportive community that can help you navigate the challenges of transitioning back to civilian life, dealing with mental health issues, and adjusting to life after military service. *Please note this is not the program application. A guiding principle of Unbroken Spirit’s Program is to “Leave No One Behind” so our goal is to continue to engage Veterans in our program to Learn, Lead, and Serve, when they return home from their Asheville Expedition. To accomplish this goal we need Mentors who are willing to connect with Veterans in a limited and efficient capacity that benefits mentees, growing their confidence and their network, but also conserves your time and energy. You do NOT have to be a Veteran to be a mentor and we will provide you with our Mentor Guide that will explain everything you need to know. We envision requirements to take no more than 30 minutes to an hour per month for 6 months.
