Adam Shick

Expedition Team Leader and Medic

Adam Shick is a U.S. Army Veteran with six years of service, where he served as a Combat Medic, Mental Health NCO, and Drug and Alcohol Counselor. For the past 18 years, he has continued his commitment to service as an Emergency Department Nurse, providing critical care to those in need. Adam joined Unbroken Spirit in October 2024 after serving on Team 3-24 during humanitarian relief efforts following Hurricane Helene.

A passionate advocate for veterans and first responders, Adam is deeply involved in outdoor recreation therapy, supporting programs that include snow skiing, whitewater rafting, and fly fishing. He and his wife Ashley, married for 26 years, live in the small town of Walhalla, South Carolina. Together, they enjoy time with their three adult children, two grandchildren, and their dogs, Buddy and Roxy.
